Jean-Luc

We employed the bell method to potty train the puppy--as in he rings the bell to let us know he needs to go outside.  (ok, ok, sometimes he rings the bell when he wants a treat or just a little attention.)  I thought it had worked really well...until last week. My husband pointed out that Jean-luc doesn't realize it's the "sound" that lets us know.  Apparently he thinks we have to SEE him ring the bell for it to be communicated. So, from time to time, I walk into the room and see JL sitting by the bell just waiting for the chance to tell me that he'd like to go outside...parenting fail.
