Married: Leigh & Troy
When Leigh & Troy approached us about shooting their March wedding at Aria, we knew we were going to have a blast working with these two. We instantly connected with their quick wit, quirkiness, and love of good food, of course. We photograph a lot of weddings at Aria so it's always interesting to see when a couple does something different with the space. Designers by trade, Leigh and Troy had some amazing ideas for their wedding.
For their ceremony, the couple opted to be married in the round so that they could be surrounded by the faces of their family and friends. Leigh's aunt married the two, her father played guitar during the ceremony, and the couple's dog, Neko, erupted in a series of celebratory barks as Leigh & Troy left the ceremony. They blew us away with the tables they custom designed and hand made for their guests to sit at during the reception. The rustic farm tables were filled with beautiful arrangements from Sadie's, local honey as gift for guests, and Cocoa and Fig laid out an amazing dessert spread. (Eli's cake cutting shot is one of my favorite images to date) Guests were also treated to vintage arcade games from Troy's company, and Leigh's dancing was definitely a highlight of the night (because Beyonce).
Leigh & Troy, now that we've gotten to know you--it's clear you complement each other so well. It's been so much fun working with you two, and we're honored to now call you friends.
Huge shout outs to Haute Dish for hosting bloodies and brunch, Salon Lavigne for Leigh's vintage side swept 'do, Create Catering for an amazing spread, Leigh's dress from the ladies at L'atelier Couture, and Amy from Fete Perfection for all the pieces coming together.
