Married: Anne & Mike's Downtown Minneapolis Wedding
I like making lists. Groceries, to-dos, gifts to give, trips to take...they all have their own special lists that live in my phone and I giggle every time I get to check something off a list. I know. I'm such a thrill seeker.
A little under a year ago Anne emailed us about photographing her wedding to Mike at the Basilica with a reception following at Bar Lurcat. Enter another list: places we haven't photographed and really, really want to. Bar Lurcat is was on that list. The checkered floors, walls of windows, chandeliers--they all called to me and I was so excited to shoot somewhere new.
The day did not disappoint. Mike lights up at just the mention of Anne, and she got a little case of excited butterflies right before the ceremony. The toasts were sentimental and funny in all the right spots. Their friends and family were fun and welcoming, not to mention pros on the dance floor. (Double dutch anyone?) And Eli and I were so happy we got beautiful light all day and evening long. It doesn't get much better than Anne & Mike's wedding--especially when you add in the end of the night selfies with their parents.
Anne & Mike, thank you for such a wonderful time. I'm so happy it was your wedding that gave me something to check off my list. Also, a big thank you to Amy Red at Mi Mi Weddings for such a beautiful and smooth day!
